Following an introduction to We Build Bridges at the HR Live event, Kim chose to have TMA Talent Scans conducted at the individual level in collaboration with the Human Mobility Group. The results were then presented in a plenary session. Subsequently, in a separate meeting with the Management Team (MT), discussions were held on how to follow up on the development of individuals and teams using the performance matrix and what challenges are involved in this process.

How does the other person prefer to be addressed?"

NetDialog is fundamentally a group of true technicians, so it was exciting to start with the Talent Scans. However, because the scan aligns so beautifully with my vision of 'from talent to performance' and working towards a learning organization, I had a lot of confidence in it. As HR responsible, I want to set a goal with regard to talent. I work with managers to find the right balance between the talents and competencies of team members. Where does the team member add the most value, and how can you best position people in projects? I now know the types of people in our team and what additional motivations and talents we still need.

Under our mission and strategy, we have set goals that are translated into KPIs for each department, which we can use to steer our actions. Through the TMA Team Analysis, we identify which talents contribute most to achieving those goals. For example, to meet our sales targets, we filled out the performance matrix at both team and individual levels and then formulated team goals. By making this combination, we can work more effectively towards team goals.

We want the performance objectives to align with the motivations of the individual. We can now better consider how we can utilize everyone's talents for the customer. Sometimes, you deliberately seek a different perspective. You can manage risks and let employees add value where they have talent. When talents align with the work someone does, you can quickly gain the trust of the customer. The person then remains true to themselves, which leads to a beautiful result.

"To facilitate the growth of NetDialog, we aim to create a learning environment where motivation is continuously stimulated. Motivated individuals are what drive growth. Through insights gained from Talent Scans and giving and receiving feedback, individuals within NetDialog can continuously improve themselves, with their manager serving as a coach and sounding board. Subsequently, teams and management will also engage in this process, elevating NetDialog as a whole. This can only be achieved if you are a learning organization. We are not there yet, but to get there, the theme of giving and receiving feedback is on the agenda. Engaged employees are not only allowed but also encouraged to be positively critical. By being positively critical towards each other, employees demonstrate their commitment to NetDialog, aiding in mutual improvement and development."
