"I feel incredibly happy when I'm moving in nature. I love mountain biking or hopping on my road bike. It's amazing when there are real mountains nearby, although I'm not short of hills here in Nijmegen. For years, I worked in the outdoor industry, organizing activities for groups. Our company was also called upon by organizations looking to make group processes visible. 'This is awesome!' I would think.
I felt that I wanted to delve deeper with people but in an active, positive way. That's why I started a coaching program alongside my work. However, it took years before I took the step to start my own business. In 2019, while working at a training agency, I encountered TMA. It perfectly aligned with how I wanted to interact with people: positively and without putting anyone in a box, because I believe that's impossible. That's why I became a TMA Professional and use the tools to help people get to know themselves and each other better.
By actively engaging teams with each other, you can achieve so much more in practice than sitting together at a desk. Developing by doing makes the anchoring much stronger.
My background in the outdoor industry is very useful: I guide activities with teams in places like the Ardennes. In between, I conduct interventions to help them discover each other's motivations, competencies, and talents. What can they learn from each other and how can they better develop their talents? But also, what does it mean for collaboration when one person, for example, has a high need for decision-making and the other doesn't?
I prefer individual and/or one-day outdoor sessions, to bring together movement and depth. A different environment, fresh air, away from computers and phones: out of your comfort zone and more into your body, that's the goal. I genuinely feel happy when I see people truly seeing themselves and each other again and using their talents."
