Siewert Kram works as a junior organizational advisor, trainer, and coach at Dazzle, the innovative organizational consultancy firm.
In Siewert's work, 'connecting' is the common thread. "I connect youth to organizational life." Siewert imparts knowledge to young people about what the organizational world looks like and what is expected of them. "My colleague handles this aspect from the organisational side, and then we bring the two together."
Siewert has a strong affinity for young people: "I've become completely enthusiastic about generational differences, something that is still underutilized." Additionally, being young himself, he knows exactly how to relate to the world of young people: "I know what it's like to uncomfortably enter an organization while still being very inexperienced."
Recently, Siewert learned to apply talent development with TMA. Especially in organizational projects, TMA has a lot to offer. When companies are searching for the missing link, TMA provides advice on growth direction. Siewert mentions that organizations often encounter this issue. "The organization may lack certain competencies within teams.
TMA provides insight: these competencies are either present or easily learnable for team members, or a recruitment process needs to be set up." Siewert uses TMA to assist with this: "I want to get people in the right place. And not based on job descriptions or profiles, but on where the person excels."
What Siewert appreciates about the TMA Method are the tools it provides him. "My conversations with people are a logical convergence of feeling and talent. With the TMA Method, I have a language for what is otherwise difficult to describe. It gives me tools to better articulate where I see someone fitting in." For this reason, he wants to gain a lot of experience now: "I want to learn by doing. I don't just want to speak the TMA language; I want to feel it."
The two TMA talents that Siewert most employs in his work are Empathy and Connectivity: "It's important that I can sense and address the white spaces between people." This can sometimes be challenging, but Siewert is most enthusiastic about real contact with people. "I want to go beyond small talk, into depth. I want to go further than the typical 'yes' response to the question of how someone is doing."
Lastly, we are curious about what TMA has to offer young people. Siewert is clear about this: "Clarity! Young people entering the job market have no idea what they want." After graduating, they have not yet explored the job market, while organizations are eager for young talent. Organizations promise a lot to young people. In this turbulent landscape, young people still don't have answers to questions like, 'What am I good at? Where are my strengths?' Siewert explains that he likes to help young people gain clarity about their talents. Then he helps them see which organization they can best leverage their talents in. Young people then make choices for their first employer much more from a position of strength.
Siewert can speak from experience here: "I'm full of entrepreneurial spirit. I see opportunities and want to seize them immediately. That's what I started doing after my education." Soon, Siewert realized that entrepreneurship involves a lot, such as finding assignments. "I started networking and figuring out how other entrepreneurs approach it." That's how Siewert found Dazzle, where the fit was so good that he joined two days later.
At Siewert and Dazzle, the match between the organization and the young person is just right: "I've been able to explore my way of working under the wing of experienced entrepreneur Tamara Tielen. I'm responsible for my projects and assignments. So, even though I'm an employee, my entrepreneurial skills are growing tremendously!"
