Scania Parts Logistics not only focuses on the quality of its products and services but also on increasing the competencies of its employees. The extensive range of training programs for managers was in full swing, but all these efforts lacked a common 'umbrella'. The company learned about the TMA Method through Acerta Consult.

Mieke explains: "The TMA Method appealed to us because it connects the motivations, talents, and competencies of employees. It forms the common thread between our HR tools. A first (test) group of experienced managers completed the talent analysis. The results were discussed and served as input for their further training trajectory.

At the same time, we started drafting the competency profile for managers. After a co-creative process, in which the test group also participated, the result was a competency profile with eight competencies, each with five behavioral indicators.

In the meantime, many managers have undergone the talent analysis. We also use it in individual coaching sessions. And if we have doubts in a recruitment process, we also use TMA to support our final decision."

TMA Competencies

The ambition of Scania Parts Logistics with the TMA methodology extends further. The company aims to roll out the competency profiles across the entire organization, starting with the managerial positions.

In the long term, Scania wishes to use the profiles as a starting point for career, evaluation discussions, and development plans. Mieke summarizes it as follows: "For us, the TMA method from Acerta Consult is an excellent model because it brings together the motivations, talents, and competencies of our employees, allowing us to look to the future from the strengths of our employees."
