Haka and TMA in Action!

"The HakaMan's aim is to captivate the audience entirely. At first, they might think, 'That guy is absolutely wild.' But by the end, the entire room joins in performing a haka, a traditional Maori dance from New Zealand. During my college days, I was introduced to rugby and witnessed a haka for the first time.

It left a lasting impression! Immediately, I knew I wanted to delve deeper into it. Six years ago, I showcased a haka for the first time during a non-verbal communication training session at an open day. Typically, such sessions don't draw much attention, but word quickly spread. What started with just 10 attendees in the first round grew to 120 by the fourth, thanks to enthusiastic word-of-mouth referrals.

Onstage, I share a management narrative infused with sportsmanship, emphasizing the theme of connectivity. The entire narrative revolves around three core tenets of TMA for enduring team success. To these, I've added another aspect - the first one: establishing inspiring and ambitious goals, nurturing talent diversity, fostering innovation, providing continuous competency training, and fostering an invigorating environment.

I incorporate analogies from the realm of rugby across all my training sessions, highlighting the striking parallels between sports teams and corporate teams.

In my HakaMan persona, I elucidate the lessons gleaned from the New Zealand national rugby team, the All Blacks. Renowned as the most triumphant sports team globally, their legacy spans over 115 years. So, we're indeed discussing long-term team success. But what sets the All Blacks apart from other teams worldwide?

The distinctions are apparent:

They consistently tidy up their own locker room, symbolizing their humility in embracing even the most mundane tasks. They prioritize retaining their top talent in New Zealand, allowing fans to witness their brilliance on home turf. And since 1905, they've commenced every match with a haka.
During a haka performance, you can feel a surge of energy coursing through your body. Hence, I conclude my narrative on stage with the Ka Mate, the iconic haka synonymous with the All Blacks. Occasionally, I divide the audience into groups and task them with crafting and rehearsing their unique haka, culminating in a spirited performance.

Collaboration necessitates leveraging each other's talents. This hands-on engagement significantly elevates team morale!"
